Large Installations and Commissioned Work

We create and even customize for our clients, large installations for the outdoors and indoors, garden sculptures and mural ideas. Stories and myths are explored in expansive multi-media panels using metal, stone and fiber glass. Even the customisation of our existing pieces according to size and requirement of the client can be done.

Winged Human- This sculpture of a Winged Human taking off from a pile of books, made by us in 2017, is installed in Hindu College (Delhi). The life-size human is made of brass, so are the wings- they’re made using the lost wax metal casting process. The books are made of stone.

The Sun and the Moon- This wall mural is installed in a business school in Mumbai. The moon is made by casting aluminium, and then clouds are solidified pieces of molten aluminium. The sun is made by organic casting of tree branches in brass. The entire mural is backlit with LED strips. One side is about 6-7 ft in width.

Peacock Sculpture- This life-size peacock sculpture was a commissioned piece made for a client in Pune in 2023. The body and the tail feathers are made in brass using the lost wax casting process, each feather made separately and laboriously attached to the tail. The wings are made of beaten iron sheets.

Luminous Darkness- This installation was a commissioned piece for the Serendipity Arts Festival in Goa (December 2024). It is an artificial lotus pond, showcasing all the various techniques that we work in- the pond is of fibreglass, the lotuses and leaves are beaten copper sheets, the fishes and tortoise in the water are Rock Dhokra, the big cranes made in brass using the lost wax casting process, the small lit kingfisher is made of stained glass, and the ceiling lamps casting magical light and shadow patterns on the walls are Tumba lamps. The installation also includes a running water cascade (made of fibreglass).

Rock Dhokra Nandi- This sculpture of the Nandi is our biggest piece of Rock Dhokra (patented), made in 2018. It weighs 900 kg and has two stones—one in the body and one in the hump. The entire piece was cast unsuccessfully twice before this version was made. It is a single-piece casting, and any casting failure means the process has to be restarted from the very first stage. This is installed in our forest garden, and a similar piece is installed at Hindu College (Delhi).

Banyan Tree Mural- This 12 x 7 ft Banyan tree mural was made in 2018, a commissioned piece for St Mary’s School, Pune. The entire tree is cast in brass, with the leaves made by organic casting of actual Banyan leaves. The parrots sitting on the branches are also made of brass.

Soaring Human- The Soaring Human, taking off from a pile of books is made in fiberglass. It’s similar to the brass one at Hindu College (see above). But instead of wings there are branches, and even the books are made of fiberglass. This is installed at the entrance of Devrai.
