Organic Casting

Nature not only inspires us, it often becomes the very substance of our design ideas. We have discovered how to replicate the patterns and textures in nature – which no human hand can sculpt – by directly casting them in metal. Thus leaves and grass, branches and bark, fruits and seeds or even seashells get transformed into metal.

It starts with careful selection of the organic material to be cast (leaves, flowers, fruits, seeds etc). The casting process is highly labour-intensive, which involves making a clay mould around each individual leaf or flower or seed. Since each mould must be broken after casting, and no 2 leaves or flowers are the same, each piece is truly unique.
