Nature is an important inspiration for the work that we do at Devrai. This painting is a moment captured in the Devrai forest garden. The bird in this painting is a Sunbird, and it is on the Jade vine plant, a species native to the Philippines. The jade vine flowers come in a variety of colours, but the ones in forest garden are bright turquoise. The metal flowers were made by casting the actual ones using the organic casting process (the process of casting organic material like leaves, fruits, flowers, shells, twigs etc in brass in order to replicate the patterns and textures in nature).

About the Technique: The metal mural range is made using the molten brass poured on the ground to form abstract shapes.
