Jewellery Art is a great way to showcase all the unique metal casting processes we have developed at Devrai. This pendant features 2 such process – Organic casting and Fusion Dhokra. Small wild flowers were picked from our forest garden, composed on a terracotta tablet, and then they transformed into metal during casting, fusing with the terracotta base. After the pendant was made, the threads were added and decorated to complete the piece. The length of the threads is adjustable.

About the Technique: Fusion Dhokra is the process of fusing brass with a wide range of materials like terracotta, ceramic, iron, copper, solidified molten earth etc. using the lost wax technique of metal casting. Our path breaking innovation of Rock Dhokra (patented process of fusing stone with brass) set us on a trail of new fusion adventures with other mediums, resulting in this beautiful art form.

Organic casting is the process of casting organic material (like leaves, fruits, flowers, shells, twigs etc) in brass. Through this process we are able to replicate the patterns and textures in nature.
