There is a constant inflow of interns, resident artists, and volunteers from all over the world, creating a mutually enriching exchange of ideas and skills. Over time, we’ve become a bridge between artists from remote parts of India and the wider world — enabling both sides to learn from each other.
Internship Programme
Devrai Art Village offers internships to art and design students to pursue projects that have synergies with our work. Among others, we have had students from Srishti School of Design (Bangalore), Indian Institute of Crafts and Design (Jaipur) and from IUT, Brest, France. Students are encouraged to learn from our master craftsmen, contribute fresh design ideas and co-create work.
Artist Residencies and Collaboration
Devrai Art Village welcomes artists, craftsmen and designers to contribute and collaborate with our craftsmen and create a space for mutual learning. Experimentation with different mediums and integration of diverse arts and crafts is what gives Devrai its unique stamp. Although we began with Dhokra and Bamboo craft, we have now incorporated Stone sculpting, beaten ironwork, pottery, painting, wood carving and even weaving in our creative endeavours.
Stay Facility
We have a separate room in our premises for volunteers, interns, and resident artists. It is big enough for 2 people, and is available for a nominal fee. There’s a separate bathroom and a small kitchenette available.
